Yesterday, I did a photo shoot for a friend who’s a color specialist at Attitudes and Hair.
And, I decided Gaby’s work as a Color Specialist would be a great start for showcasing artists. My desire is to share artists’ pieces here, whether in process or in final form, so we can encourage one another and the world can experience wonderful masterpieces.
From the little I know, coloring hair is a fairly complicated process. involving different techniques, processes, and colors. There’s a choice of using foils or a cap where strands are pulled through using tweezers to start. And all kinds of options are available: doing low lights, highlights, double-process color, glazes, hair painting (also called balayage), and more. I’m not even sure what those different things mean.
All that tricky doing is to create a beautiful composition of color that honors the client’s preferences and makes that person look good. Pretty amazing, I think.
Here’s a sample of Gaby’s work.
Wait.

Wait for it.

Ladies and gentlemen, here it is.

We have arrived.

What do you think?

Let’s give our featured artist: Gaby, pictured on the right, a warm round of applause.

Many thanks to Gaby for sharing your work.
And, thank you to Diane, proprietor and master stylist at Attitudes and Hair salon for the beautiful work you do and Cindy for modeling for this shoot.
On a side note, those photographs are my work.

I want to showcase and share more art. It doesn’t have to be limited to written, visual, or the performing arts. Please, by all means, send me that stuff. But, a broader range is welcome here. Send me an e-mail, telling me some about you and including your work. With time, my goal is to share the work, here. So, send me your stuff!
I look forward to hearing from you. And, as always, commenting on this post or any other are most welcomed.
