I’ve been frequenting various coffee shops in the Denver area over the past few weeks or so, and they all seem so unique and different.

These places take on the personality of the designer, the people working there, the location, or a combination of different factors.
You are all a part of this space, and I’d like to get a better picture of the personalities that make it up.
I’ve been trying to build community, here. So, I’d like to try something to push us in that direction and build that picture. I would love to know more about you, and perhaps you’d like to become more acquainted with me.
Building intimacy works better with being real and sharing who you are as a starting point.
So, how about sharing at least one thing about you in the comment section. This doesn’t have to be limited to words. It could include a picture, a drawing, or some other art form. And, as a prerequisite, you must be a follower of this blog or signed up to receive e-mail notifications.
In exchange, I’ll send you a handwritten note in the mail. If someone else in your life could use encouragement, I’ll send that person a letter, too.
Don’t not do this, because you’re saving this opportunity for someone else. Okay? You know who you are.

I’ll go first. I was 9 or 10 years old, when I was allowed to get a pet and be fully in charge of its care and well-being. I combed through the Want Ads looking for a kitten and finally found a gray-haired female, my first cat ever. Though we called her Charmant, she was anything but charming. My parents’ friends mistook her for a monkey, climbing the screen door. And, she once went on a leg-attacking rampage, when we had company over.
Now, it’s your turn.
Even those of you who are dear friends of mine are encouraged to participate.
Let’s hear it!
