Who am I?

By day, I’m a philosopher. That’s the job that pays the bills.

I am and have always been an artist at heart. I am a writer, a photographer, painter, soprano, piano player, LEGO builder.

For awhile, I have been working toward building a career as a writer. I’ve been looking for an agent to represent my first book in a series of adult fiction, in magical realism, about love and its complications and many facets. Writing and getting published, for me, isn’t just a bucket list item to check off. Neither is it an a American dream to fulfill.

Rather, it’s a way I can show how LOVE – whether among strangers, with community, with friends, between lovers, or simply in interactions – makes life better. That’s right, LOVE, in spite of misunderstandings, betrayal, hate, loneliness, busyness, jealousy, or whatever, EXISTS. And it’s there for the partaking and enjoying.

I’m working on the second book in that series, now.
